Activate your video request page, copy the link, and let anyone send you a video – instantly.
With Videolink, you can collect video explanations, bug reports, or updates through your personal video request page. Once activated, anyone with the link can record and send you a video.
Follow these steps to set it up.
1. Go to Pages
Log in to your Videolink account.
From the main dashboard, navigate to Pages.
This is where you manage your personal video request pages.
2. Choose Your Video Requesting Page
Inside Pages, select the video request page you want to use.
You can customize the title and description if needed – for example:
- “Report a Bug”
- “Send Feature Feedback”
- “Share Project Update”
3. Activate Your Video Request Page
If the page is not active yet:
- Click Activate.
Once activated, your page becomes publicly accessible via a unique link.
This link is connected to your account, so all submitted videos will go directly to you.
4. Copy the Link
After activation:
- Click Copy Link.
Your request link is now ready to share.
You only need to activate it once – the same link can be reused anytime.
5. Share the Link
Send the link to the person you want to receive a video from.
You can share it via:
- Slack
- Support chat
- GitHub comments
When they open the page, they can:
- Click Record
- Capture their screen or camera
- Submit the video
No Videolink account is required.
What Happens After Submission?
- The video appears in your dashboard.
- You get notified about the new submission.
- You can watch, comment, reply, or share it internally.
