Use the blur tool to hide sensitive information like emails, passwords, or private data before sharing your video.
If your recording includes confidential or sensitive information, you can easily blur specific areas before sharing.
Follow these steps.
1. Go to Your Video
Open your Videolink dashboard.
Select the video you want to edit.
2. Click Edit Video
Inside the video view, click Edit Video to open the editing tools.
3. Choose the Blur Option
In the toolbar, select the Blurring tool.
This allows you to hide selected areas of the screen.
4. Choose the Area to Blur
Click and drag over the part of the video you want to hide.
You can resize and reposition the blur box as needed.
5. Choose When the Blur Should Appear
Use the timeline to define:
- When the blur starts
- When it ends
This allows you to blur content only during specific moments.
6. Adjust the Blur Amount
Select the blur intensity to control how strong the effect should be.
Increase the blur level for highly sensitive information.
7. Save the Video
Once everything looks correct, click Save.
Your updated version will now include the blur effect.
When to Use Blur
Blur sensitive details such as:
- Email addresses
- Customer names
- Internal tools
- API keys
- Financial data
- Personal information
